Dangers Of Constitutional Crisis Trump Russia Collusion

By Patricia Ellis

It is interesting how the new Wolff book Fire and Fury has set off such a fire storm related to a possible Constitutional Crisis Trump Russia Collusion possibility. Now, Steve Bannon is under fire for suggesting there was treason on the part of the President. Although Mr. Bannon apologized, there are a number of Americans whom believe the former advisor may not have been far from, if not telling the truth.

While the definition of a constitutional crisis is vague, it generally refers to the difference of opinion where there is an inability to come to a compromise. As a result, the crisis can cause a governmental shut down or collapse. In some cases, it can lead to a government shut down which can last anywhere from days to weeks or more. Whereas, in more severe cases, it can lead to Anarchy.

In most cases, this type of situation results when different officials in varying parts of the government have an ideological disagreement. When either of these two individuals can hold power over the other, a constitutional crisis is born. While most often the crisis begins with an internal conflict among branches of the same government, sometimes it can also be based on the presence of external sources, such as Russia.

Another reason for this situation is when two parties or representatives violates constitutional law, or when an official suggest that there is no need to follow the constitution. It is surprising since a number of people in the administration have broken such laws with the President making comments about the validity of the constitution that a crisis has not yet taken shape.

One of the most important aspects of this situation is that these actions could potentially lead to a collapse or paralysis of the government. At which time, all those receiving federal benefits from retirees and veterans to welfare recipients would suffer the most. Whereas, a number of other employees and governmental agencies would not be funded during this time.

While the situation has the potential to break out in civil war, the factions involved would most likely be governmental agencies and the President rather than North and South, as has been the case in the past. Whereas, the war would also be one of truth versus lies on the part of the United States and all others whom were involved in any aspect of collusion.

While there are many on both sides of the aisle, Democrats and Republicans who feel there was collusion with Russia during the campaign, there are still others whom disagree. Whereas, when it comes to the President, while there have been comments about the investigation into collusion being a witch hunt that has placed a cloud over the Presidency, Trump still denies any collusion during the campaign.

Ultimately, the truth either will or will not come to light. If the President fires Mueller, whom is doing the investigation, the American people will most likely have to decide based on that action. Whereas, if the investigation were to continue and there were to be findings of collusion between the President and Russia, then accusations of collusion may be least of the crimes committed throughout these last few years.
