Reasons To Believe That Mainstream Media Lies To The Masses

By Douglas Reynolds

People depend on the televisions, radios and the newspapers to get the news about what is going on in the country. What folks do not know is that these sources make them live in fantasy by lying. There are many ways to prove that trusting on these sources is a big mistake for those who are seeking the truth. Here are some of the thrilling reasons you ought to be convinced that mainstream media lies to you in most cases.

The first thing to think about is where these people get the information from. It is easy to believe that they are all over the country doing their research while in the real sense they just wait as a few journalist gather rumors here and there. So, if one can doubt the credibility of the source, they get the data form, then it is reasonable to doubt the whole process.

Secondly, they rely on the authorities. Most televisions, newspapers, and the radio stations report what the government wants them to report. For one to believe what they say them, he or she ought to be convinced that they are independent. Since this is not the case in these forms, then one can conclude that they mostly give misleading information.

Another essential thing to remember is that these are companies and they want to make the profit. Also, it is prudent to put into account that people are more interested in doom news than the good news. For that reason, journalists will always try to make the situations look as horrible as possible to win the hearts of the viewers. Truthfulness, therefore, is not applicable in this case.

Also, it is prudent to note that tycoons and politicians sponsor many own the media houses. Therefore they are obliged to saying what their sponsors want them to say. That is the reason getting information on social means is a wise move if you are interested in the accuracy of the news you get. This is because social media are usually free from intimidation.

You will agree that a huge percentage of content you get in the media is about advertisements. This is because folks are more interested in businesses than letting people know the truth. Many advertisements are either inaccurate or exaggerated. So, it is fascinating how these sources expect people to believe in whatever they say yet they advertise things even if they are not sure whether or not they are legitimate.

It would be a big lie to say that journalist presents the situations as they prevail. You will see them reporting something and yet they use a picture that has been used to report some other news. This is because they too are people and they would want to convince people to believe in whatever they believe in. So, most of the things you see are opinions not the facts.

To conclude, if you are keen you may have noticed that they repeat the same information several times even if it is of no importance to the public. This is because their ultimate goal is to instill various ideologies into the minds of folks and thus to manipulate them. Thus, being truthful is impossible.
